A Day in London: The Bloggers Market and Dinerama

25 Aug 2015

Saturday was a scorcher in London, 29 degrees and absolutely glorious. So what better to do than to pop into London for The Blogger's Market, the food festival Dinerama and most of all, enjoy this heatwave in the city.

First stop was The Apartment at The Hoxton Hotel, where some of my favourite bloggers were holding their second Blogger's Market of the year. (I actually helped Tom create a video of their debut back in January - Check out the video here!) The Blogger's Market is organised and held by Olivia, Carrie, Kristabel, Lucy and Dunya - five fab bloggers on the net! Truly inspiring girls and ever so lovely in real life. Together, they set up shop for the day to sell some of their wardrobe at bargain prices. As well as enjoying a doughnut or two and getting your hair done by Joel, it's the perfect chance to meet the bloggers themselves, plus meet a lot of other bloggers there too - I'm usually the awkward one who opens with "Hey I follow you on Instagram!" Ah I'm so uncool!

After a couple of quick - and much needed - iced lattes from The Holborn Grind next door, we went onto Dinerama in Shoreditch. The new food feast opened its doors this year, only to close them due to a fire, but they're back as if nothing happened! I've already checked out a couple of food festivals this Summer such as Dalston Yard and Summer Tales and Dinerama has been on my list since I heard it was coming! All of my favourite stalls were there B.O.B's Lobster, Yum Bun and Smokestak (The best ribs I've ever had!) and of course there are plenty more - you are completely spoilt for choice. Plus with a rooftop bar, it's the perfect spot for a fruity cocktail in the beautiful sunshine.

We finished the Saturday with the new Paper Towns film, based on the book by John Green, starring Cara Delavingne and Nat Wolff. The book is your classic teen fiction with a bit of a twist. And yep, even in my twenties, I still love a good ole teen fiction. Easy to read, lovable characters and a story that takes you back to your teenage years. There was no doubt I was going to see this film, after reading the book I just had to! The film is filled with fun, adventure and romance. It made me long for all those parties we had when we were teens, the freedom we had and it actually made me miss being at school. And boy did I feel old when I came out of the cinema!
