To some, it's not a surprise that I'm a big fan of afternoon tea. What's better than three tiers of sandwiches, cakes and scones, accompanied by a pot of tea? One place I've had my eye on for almost a year now is Sketch in Mayfair, London.

Ever since I saw the adorable David Shrigley tableware amongst the beautiful pink interior, I've been waiting for the perfect occasion to book an afternoon tea at Sketch. I realised you don't need a special occasion to enjoy an afternoon tea. Sure, it makes a very lovely gift for a birthday, but if it's a bank holiday weekend and the clouds and grey, why not treat yourself.

I can't really say I have a sweet tooth so I did prefer the sandwiches over the cakes, but everything was delicious - especially the sandwiches, naturally. Best thing about Sketch - you can refill on whatever you fancy!

David Shrigley's work did give me a chuckle or two!

And of course, I couldn't leave without heading to the Sketch toilets where each cubicle is a pod. At the time of my visit, Sketch was in full bloom celebrating the Chelsea Flower Show by filling five spaces with beautiful floral displays - the toilets being one of them.
